Daniel studied film making at the film school ESCAC in Barcelona, specialising in direction of photography, where he graduated in 2010. Immediately after gaining his degree, he started working in cinema and advertising working in different positions within the camera department. Some of his initial work in music videos includes collaborations with Justice, Scissor Sisters, Battles and Oh Land; he also worked in the camera department on films such as Buried, Blog and La estrella. He has gradually worked himself up to the role of director of photography, and has shot two feature films so far: Tots els Camins de Déu and Hooked Up.

He combines his work shooting commercials, fashion films and music videos for different production companies such as Canada, Iconoclast, Bears Calling, Caviar, Landia, among others.

Dani has also been involved – via two outstanding videos – with Nowness, a video channel that aims to showcase contemporary culture through film.
